Hi there. My name is Kelly, a new excited follower! My momma passed away when I was 8 of Cervical Cancer when she was 32 in It reminded me of so many reasons why I love my dad. I just wanted to tell you thank you for sharing this post. It is the epitome of WHY we should be grateful for our parents, no matter who raised us. I was never bitter but did grow up with a fear of abandonment.
I have my own 2 children…. They are simply amazing young adults. Goodness, after all that from me, a stranger, I just want to thank you again for your post. As you can tell it got to me. I think people need to know when they touch others, often without realizing it.

My mothers endless love and support, is what made me the person I am today and continues to help me develop. I kept on getting emotional reading this.She works tirelessly to get everyone to smile for a family picture, even if the end result is lots of tears. Kleenex, check. Chapstick, check. Snack, check. Spare undies, check. Scratch paper, you bet. Just ask. When you have bad dreams, her bed is the BEST. She sees the bottled up tears or that something hiding behind your silence.
Short of pom-poms, Mom takes the cake when it comes to cheerleading. Who needs a drive through when you have Mom? Need a snack? Thirsty before bed? If you ever feel unloved, all you need to do is to talk to Mom. Mom is like a 1-woman security detail. Mom has mad P. Eyes in the back of her head are only the beginning. Mom, will. She sacrificially gave up her brains and energy while you were in-utero, siphoning everything you needed from her.
Mom rented out space in her belly, free of charge for 9 months, then again, in her home for at least 18 years. In fact, she PAID to have you in this world.
Mom always takes one for the team. She has supernatural volume. In fact, even the adult neighbors put their shoes away and wash their hands because they can hear her instructions. With one LOOK she can change the behavior of you and your siblings.
I like it! If something is missing, put Mom on the job. It always seems to fix bumps and owies. She reminds you of your appointments and even chauffeurs you to make sure you arrive on time.
She planned play dates long before you knew how and still provides the rides, home, snacks, and money for your social life.

My parents also divorced and my mom failed married twice she's a single-mom nowso me and my older brother are from different father.
Also my mom fought hard at our past life and all the hardship when I was a little girl. In the morning today before I went to work, she said 'I love you' to me and kiss my cheek I was stressed about something that I worried these days but she told me 'don't think about it, don't force yourself and leave all the rest to God' She makes me relief on my mind.

Sweet memories. I agree… grandmothers are the most amazing people ever. She will dance or sing in a room full of people see 1. She makes the best enchiladas. For years, she would pick me up from school exactly on time. She is super smart. When I was younger, she would teach me how to multiply, help me with history homework, and teach me lessons about life. She hums when she works. She talks to herself. She always has snacks at her house. She makes me feel special and important.
She can carry a conversation even when I have nothing to say. Once, when I was having horrible cramps in 8 th grade, she drove to my school with medicine AND a glass of water.
As we were growing up, she would play video games with her grandchildren. She introduced me to some cool games I never would have played otherwise. She has an interesting book collection. She still has her college textbooks. When I was little, she would always have orange slices the candy, not the fruit in her kitchen. And she would always let me have one or two. It still smells like a new car, though she will deny this anytime anyone gets in her car.
She is always prepared. She keeps pillows, blankets, and tissues in her car. She has a giving heart. She gives of her time, money, and talent. She prays for all of her millions of grandchildren.Her unconditional love for you. No matter what you do, how many times you mess up, or how many bad decisions you make, your mom will still love you.
